Anima Christi A Medieval Prayer On Good Friday 2016

I recently printed out some old “notes” while reorganizing stuff on my computer. Just happened to start rereading through the printed sheets today, Friday. Good Friday. Here is what I found. A beautiful spiritual old prayer called “Anima Christi”.

Soul of Christ, make me holy
Body of Christ, be my salvation
Blood of Christ, let me drink your wine
Water flowing from the side of Christ, wash me clean
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
Kind Jesus, hear my prayer
Hide me within your wounds
And keep me close to you
Defend me from the evil enemy
To the fellowship of your saints
That I might sing your praise with them
For all eternity.
Amen.

“IF NOT FOR YOU” NEW VIDEO FROM SKY ALBUM

#

Hello My Friends,

Please take a look at the brand new video we filmed on a moody Sunday morning in Hollywood, California on Hollywood Boulevard. The five minute mini movie provides a deliciously artful presentation of the famous heart of Hollywood all the while I am doing my thing with Bob Dylan’s classic song that he wrote for his very close friend George Harrison. Please enjoy “If Not For You” and share, like, and even leave a comment if so inspired. Thank you for all your support and kindness! thankyou… thankyou…

with love light and joy,
Jeanne

WEDNESDAY’S WISH — 6 WORDS

image

Six words I wished for my newest and 20th album, coming out next month. I carried these words with me throughout all the performance sessions, mixing hours, and mastering process. Yes, this piece of paper went everywhere, even on the piano hile I was singing and playing. The songs were all composed on various visits to the Northern California coast, where the redwoods kiss the ocean. As with every new album, one hopes to continue to expand the musical consciousness. What does that mean? To open wider, to go deeper, to love more, to let all the nectar flow out — to you, to become aware of our connection and our unity.

in union,
Jeanne

WHY IS THIS SUMMER SO IMPORTANT

image

Is it because it is my fave aunt, my father’s eldest sis, turned 92 years young? She is so amazing that I will post a blog about her in the near future.

Is it because I am in AZ and all this hot hot reminds me of my many summers here when I was a little girl.

Is it because I can simply throw on a Hawaiian Pareo Sarong and really feel like I’m in Hawaii?

Is it because I am actualizing the emptying of self that I so aspire to, without aspiring to it, of course?

Is it because I just love being alive and have noticed it more lately?

Yes.

That is why this summer is so important.
